Chicken Sliders w/Hawaiian Rolls

Chicken…oh the mundaneness of it. You can get tired of chicken. So I try to find new and playful things to do with it. Today I’m going to turn it into little sliders on king’s hawaiian rolls. Its good game food. Good hangout food. Good anytime food.

Sliders:

  • 2 chicken breasts sliced in half to make two thinner chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • Kings Hawaiian rolls
  • Habanero jack cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Fresh avocados
  • Roma tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • Roasted Garlic Mayo (see steak sandwich recipe)

Cooking: Heat olive oil in saute pan. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook about 4-5 mins on each side until golden brown. Place cheese on chicken, cover with a lid for a minute to make the cheese melt. Remove from heat. Melt butter spread of outside of Hawaiian rolls and place under broiler for a few mins.

That’s it! I mean seriously could this be any easier. Assemble, chicken, a little mayo, tomato slice, avocado slice..etc. I served with microwavable brocooli and cheese because I wanted to lighten it up. Usually I serve with french fries but you can decide how you like it.

Buen Provecho!
