Kielbasa Hash

I don’t have a cool story behind this. One day I was walking through the grocery store, hungry, and saw some kielbasa. I googled what goes well with kielbasa and potatoes, tomatoes and onions were common ingredients. So here’s my version of some hash. 


Kielbasa Hash:

  • 1/2 Hilshire Farms Polish Kielbasa, sliced in half and into discs
  • 3 red potatoes
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/2 yellow pepper
  • 1/2 sweet yellow onion
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 3 cloves of garlic 
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil 

Cooking: Heat olive oil in large sauce pan. Add chopped potatoes. Add salt and pepper. Cook until potatoes are golden brown. Take potatoes out of the oil onto a plate lined with a paper towel. In the same pan add the onions, peppers and smashed garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent and the pepper have softened. Add kielbasa and heat through. Add in potatoes and let stew until the favors all blend together. 

If you want to add more protein you can serve it with poached eggs or fried eggs. Yum!
