I don’t know if you’ve ever eaten Patatas Bravas…but if you’re ever in a restaurant that has them you should give them a shot. They don’t sound like they are special…crispy fried potatoes, seasoned with a little garlic, paprika…drizzled with a little chipotle mayo sauce…nope they don’t sound like anything I’d like to be eating right now.
- 2 russet potatoes, skin on but scrubbed clean
- 1-2 tbsp of garlic powder
- 2 tsps of smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of crema Mexicana (you can use regular sour cream)
- 1 chipotle in adobo
- 1 tsp lime juice
Cooking: Dice the potatoes into cubes.
In a small blender add the mayo, crema Mexicana, lime juice and chipotle. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can always add more chipotle if you want it really spicy!
Drizzle the sauce over the potatoes.
